From the ghetto to my dreams.

It’s freezing. My hands are in my pockets and my hat almost covers my eyes as I walk down the street in northern Philly, going anywhere but to school.

If you don’t know Philadelphia, let me clarify: the Northside is the ghetto and I’m a classic representation. I dropped out of high-school when I was (age) because I sucked at it. So what’s the point? Who wants to be forced to do something they suck at?

But then you grow up and life teaches you the lessons high-school couldn’t. As you’re working in fast-food and see how many opportunities you’re missing out on, you start to wonder if there’s hope for you. Can you ever be successful? Like, really successful? Can you work something you love and make great money out of it? Will the right people ever take you seriously?

You can achieve anything you want—I know because I did. I set a simple goal: getting my high-school diploma. Soon after that, I befriended a real estate investor in my neighbourhood. I admired that person and what he did, so I offered to help in any way I could—but I didn’t want to be paid, I wanted to be mentored in the real estate arena instead.

This decision changed my life. I went on to become a successful real estate investor.

I couldn’t believe the life I created, considering where I started. Thoughts formed in my head and started nagging me, day after day: what made me different from all other high-school drop outs that still struggled? Could I help them? Would they be open to the mind-shift that would give them everything they want? Would they be willing to do the work?

I think you would be. I believe in you and your abilities. I know there are people out there who look down on you. They’re wrong. You have what it takes to make it big—but you need to take the first step. Then the next, and then the next.

Let’s start now.

into the program.

MODULE 1

What kind of a learner are you?

In preparation for the HiSET test, the TASC test, or the GED exams, we use custom approaches that fit your natural learning style.

You (and all of us) fall into one of three learning style categories:

  • Visual learners, who absorb and understand information when they see it represented on graphs, charts, maps, diagrams, and other visual tools.
  • Kinesthetic learners, who learn best through touch and movement. Example: write the information down on a pad or a white board, structuring it your own way—you’ll be surprised how much you remember.
  • Auditory learners, who do best when they listen to and discuss new things.

We use our signature “breaking the code” method to understand who you are, teach you critical thinking skills and let you learn at your own pace.

MODULE 2

Specific test-taking strategies

Learning to know and learning to take a test are different things.

Of course, your brain will easily remember and use any piece of information it finds useful: but everything else has to be in there, too, for the sake of you achieving great scores and getting your diploma

Our program teaches you tips and tricks to trigger enhanced memory and instant correct-answer associations.

MODULE 3

personal development coaching

Most programs for high-school drop outs end with you getting your diploma. But what happens next?

Wil-Do Personal Development Coaching program is designed specifically for you: a dreamer with a diploma in your hands, ready to take on life. It features:

  • Your guide to specialized knowledge: or how to continue learning the right things to succeed in your arena of interest.
  • Reprogramming your subconscious mind so that it stops sabotaging you.
  • Daily planners and tools to keep you focused and help you create good habits.
  • Strategies for identifying your purpose and pursuing it with intention.
  • Psychological decision-making tactics to help you make the best of opportunities.

client stories

I'm ready to shift gears. Twenty years ago I wouldn't picture I'd be here now, earning my GED as an individual in my late thirties.
I'm proud of myself for making this decision.

Javier R. Jersey City

I'm looking forward. Never in my life did I picture myself studying again! I'm a single mother and have no spare time to take classes.
Now, my outlook has totally changed.

Evette R. Philadelphia

I'm ready to roll. I'm finally realizing how much a high school diploma matters.
In the real world, it's hard for people to take you seriously when don't have a GED.

David H. Philadelphia

why we want you

Because the life you dream of is possible.

Because there aren’t many people out there who would work their assess off to fulfill their potential—and if you’re one of them, I’d love to work with you.

Because it’s time you slay this diploma dragon and move on with your life

Because I don’t want to see you in the same place 5 years from now.

Because you’re not a forever-fast-food-worker type of person.

Because you want more for yourself and your family.

Because you can prove everyone who underestimates you wrong.

What subjects are covered on the GED?

The test covers four core subjects: mathematical reasoning, reasoning through language arts, social studies, and science. The exam format is designed to test the comprehension, problem-solving, and analytical skills, among many others, normally developed over the course of a high school education. As high school graduation requirements become more challenging, so does the GED. In fact, the test was overhauled in 2014 to better reflect these increasing national college and career readiness standards.

What score do I need to pass the GED?

The GED uses a scoring scale that ranges from 100-200 points. The minimum score needed in order to earn a high school equivalency certificate is 145 out of 200 on each of the four subject areas. However, in order to be considered “college ready,” a higher score of 165-174 is needed, and in order to potentially receive some college credit, you’ll need to score a 175 or above on any given subject.

What is true about high school dropouts?

More than 1.3 million students drop out of high school every year in the US. More than 20% of dropouts are foreign born. Another 17% are Hispanic students. A high-school dropout is ineligible for 90% of jobs in America.

What problems do high school dropouts face?

There are countless studies to back that up, students who don't earn a high school diploma are much more likely to face poverty, bad health, require welfare, and engage in crime.

Can you succeed without a high school diploma?

Do Successful High School Dropouts Really Exist? Yes. In fact, some of the most successful people in the world never graduated from high school. And for every famous dropout, many other dropouts exist who quietly lead prosperous and fulfilling lives. But we highly recommend getting your high school diploma as your foundation to starting the process of becoming successful at whatever it is you want to become successful at.

Not just a GED prep program.
A program to fulfill your potential.

Wil-Do Academy provides a simple system that will help you get your diploma, reprogram your mind and create the successful future you want.
